The classic Magic Kingdom Jungle Cruise attraction has transformed into the Jingle Cruise for the holiday season at Walt Disney World. The lost Christmas Cargo can be found all over the river, generally matching a type of festive item to each scene. In the following years, the Jingle Cruise became more elaborate with a story about finding decorations and gifts that were spread out across the jungle after a cargo plane accidentally dropped them. The Disneyland version of Jingle Cruise would feature more decorations then the Magic Kingdom version though. During the 2017 Holiday season, Disneyland would skip doing a Jingle Cruise and it became Magic Kingdom exclusive.

The installation at Hong Kong Disneyland features a significantly different storyline from the other parks and provides guests with three different language options, each with its own line queue. The attraction was in the opening day roster of the park, and has remained open and largely unchanged in theme and story since then.
Of course, this being the jungle, the skippers make use of whatever they can get to ring in the season, and that extends to the signage above the entrance. The sign outside the attraction lets guests know that the holidays are here, as it’s wrapped in a garland with plenty of lights. At various resorts and EPCOT, guests can enjoy annual gingerbread displays. Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will have a gingerbread display for the first time this year, either in place of or in addition to its usual train village. There will also be gingerbread displays at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort, which have all had them in years past.
Just outside the official entrance, guests can see wreaths adorning some of the lampposts, including this one made out of an old lifebuoy. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will begin on November 9 and take place on select nights through December 22. Four Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates are sold out, including the last party before Christmas day. Ticket prices vary depending on the date, from $159 to $199 for adults and $149 to $189 for kids (ages 3 to 9).

The Jungle Cruise attraction has always featured narration by a live Disney Cast Member; for the release the narration was provided by Thurl Ravenscroft. This soundtrack was also used in Disneyland television features as early as 1964. The Magic Kingdom and Tokyo Disneyland attractions are very similar to each other, with the exception of a few minor differences.
